Muggles everywhere mourn.Alan Rickman, who played Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies, met an untimely demise on January 14, 2015.

An acclaimed British actor with thirty years of experience, Rickman was in movies like Harry Potter, Love Actually, Robin Hood and many more, as well as directed some.  As sad as this is for Potter fans and cast worldwide, friends and fans are using social media to send their support.

Sites like Pottermore and Mugglenet wrote tribute articles, containing social media snippets.
