A First Person Account of the Writers’ Assembly

The Writers’ Assembly is an annual event that happens at GFS. Students from 6th through 12th grade are allowed to submit short stories, poems, or essays. The best 20 or so articles are selected, and those people are called up to read their piece in front of the entire Middle and Upper Schools.

Disney: Misleading Expectations

When you hear the Disney, the words that pop into your mind are probably something like magic, childhood, love, and fairytale. Disney is a widely spread and much-loved film company that produces wonderful movies to be enjoyed by people of all ages. The cute characters, catchy songs, and true love make them favorite movies, whether you’re watching them for the first time or the fiftieth. But beneath that harmless surface hides a plethora of stereotypes.

Beauty and the Beast – Opinion Article

When news got out of Disney’s newest live-action remake, Beauty and the Beast, everyone was very excited. The trailers hit YouTube, and the appearance of Emma Watson brought out everyone’s inner Harry Potter fan as they anticipated how the famous actress would play the role of a Disney princess. The reviews were mixed, however this is the opinion of yours truly.
